Meaningful recovery requires support, care, and stepping outside of the conditions that contributed to the harm.
As a community-based, federally registered non-profit organization, the The Digital Recovery & Mental Health Centre (DRC) provides free, structured support for individuals and families affected by digital harms, including social media addiction, identity disturbance, and mental health challenges associated with prolonged online engagement.
DRC is the first Canadian initiative dedicated to supporting recovery from harmful digital environments.

Through peer-led, recovery-oriented support, DRC assists individuals and families navigating the psychological impacts of digital environments and social media use, a current gap in mental health and clinical services in Canada.
DRC provides non-judgmental, evidence-informed support grounded in lived experience, recovery principles, and emerging clinical research surrounding digital harms and mental health concerns caused by social media and smartphones.
The conversations in therapeutic settings must reflect the digital environment and its harms. DRC does that.

Support is provided by recovery oriented frameworks that integrates lived experience, clinical best practices, and community based mental health principles.

The Digital Recovery & Mental Health Centre was founded by Kayleigh Robertson, Certified Clinical Peer Support Specialist. She carries professional expertise and lived experience in digital-related mental-health harm and recovery-oriented care.
Her work is informed by both formal clinical training and experiences with hospitalization and psychosis related to the psychological impacts of social media and smartphone use.
She deleted her social media in 2022 after prolonged distress caused by use.
Kayleigh Robertson is a clinical specialist, professional speaker, digital-harms advocate, and published writer. She focuses on recovery, education, and system-level responses to emerging digital mental-health challenges.
Let's talk about your experiences, and how they have shaped the way you see yourself and your life.
Regret, FOMO, body image, expectations and perceptions.
Screen-time, anger, loneliness.
All of it.
From there, we can begin the work of understanding what happened, and rewriting your narrative around it.
Questions? Just ask.
